{house hunt}

This past weekend we went to Vegas to check out our future home and try to find a house to live in. Let me tell you.. the weekend was exhausting!!  Trying to find somewhere to live, that is in your price range, allows the puppies, is in a safe area, etc, etc, etc... is close to impossible. We did find a place we like but, there is one application ahead of us. Let's hope that falls through so we won't be homeless! :)

My favorite road trip drink!
Dinner at Sunset Station after a LONG day of driving.
Inside the restaurant we ate at.
This is at Town Square Mall where Taylor will be working.

Just my husband getting some gas.
Sad to be going home...
But excited to be coming back!!

As of now we are hoping for the best with the housing situation. Very stressful, but it has to work out somehow right?

{wow}

Watch this.. you'll be saying Wow! too.

{puppy love}

Isn't it nice to have someone excited to see you after you've been gone all day? (not that my husband isn't.. but you know!) Phoebe is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. She loves to play, but only with her ball. Bruce on the other hand is a ball of energy that will never stop jumping (i swear he's part rabbit). They are so different from each other but are both so cute and such a big part of our lives. We love our puppies!

Phoebe taking a ride in the car!

Bruce.. just hanging out!

{22}

My 22nd birthday was a few weeks ago. (May 2) It was an awesome day, thanks to my sweet husband, wonderful mom and great in-laws.

Taylor had given me my present before we went to South Carolina so I could use it on the trip.

My brand new 32 gig iPod touch! I absolutely love it! Thanks love!!

For my birthday, (after working all day) we went to my FAVORITE restaurant, Windys Sukyaki. It was delicious as always.

After dinner, we went to my mom's house for some cake!

Annual "age" picture. 10 fingers + 10 toes + 1 tongue + 1 of Taylor's fingers = 22 years old! :)

My momma and I

My cute kitty Zip.

After cake at Mom's, we finally went and got a washer and dryer! It's so nice to finally have some at our house. Thanks for a wonderful day everyone! Love you all!

{happy}

Last night as we were sitting on our couch;
  • me eating Spaghettios, him eating left over soup
  • watching Star Wars
  • our dogs lying on the floor, pooped after playing at the park
  • in our small little house
I realized, that I am happy! You don't have to be doing big grand things all the time to enjoy life. It's little things like these that make you (well, me at least) truly happy.

{Mac-n-Cheese}

Say hello to Mac-n-Cheese. (Yes, that's it's name). My new 2010 Toyota Corolla "S" (The S has to be there.. it's very important!) I love and adore my old car but it was time for a change.

Welcome to the family, Mac.

{american pride}

Tonight is a great night to be posting this post.. couldn't be more grateful to the U.S. military for all of the hard work and sacrifices they make for our country. Good job on getting Osama Bin Laden, couldn't be happier he is gone.

This past week I have been turned into an extremely patriotic American, my big brother graduated from Army boot camp at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. We were able to fly out there to see him and I don't think I have ever been so proud of him. At first I wasn't too sure how I felt about him going into the Army,  but being at Fort Jackson and seeing him there changed my mind. I am so grateful to him and the thousands of other military personnel that risk everything to allow us the freedoms that we enjoy everyday.

Wednesday was family day and the first time we got to see him in 10 weeks. We had to stay on post that day, so we did lots of fun things.

(don't mind my hair.. it didn't play well with the South Carolina humidity)

We got to see Zach's barracks.. yuck!!

Drove to this cute little lake,

went to the Fort Jackson museum,

and went bowling!

The next day after graduation we got to leave post and go tour Columbia. We had a good day relaxing at the hotel and eating LOTS of food and candy. We went to a place called Waffle House for dinner and let me tell you, it was a true Southern dining experience.

 Good luck to Zach who now has 10 weeks of AIT training in Alabama and 29 more in Florida.So proud to be an Army Sister!!
