We found out on New Year's Eve that we are expecting Hendricks #3. We are so excited and couldn't be happier for our sweet bundle of joy.
We had our 16 week appointment this past Monday and we found out the gender of our cute little baby.
That's right, we are having a baby boy! I totally thought we were having a girl, but I guess I was wrong. Our sweet little guy was acting kind of shy at the ultrasound. He had his legs bent and feet crossed at the ankles in front of "that" area. Dr. said he was pretty positive that it was a boy because we caught a little somethin' somethin' over the knees. After the doctor pushed the wand harder into my stomach, baby kicked at him and moved his legs a little so we had a split second to take a peek. The next ultrasound we have is at 20 weeks, late April, so we will be able to confirm at that one.
His head is on the right and his legs are crossed down in the left corner. What a cute baby.. ;)
On a side note, (for my own memory), Tuesday night my hands, knees and bottom of my left foot decided they wanted to swell up. It was painful and I was itchy ALL over my body. I figured I was having an allergic reaction to something. To what? We have no idea!! We tried to go to an Instacare that night, but ended up walking up to the door at 9:01 - they closed at 9:00, crap! I ended up just taking some Benadryl and passed out fast asleep.
Fast forward to the morning. Swelling was down, but now I have hives and a rash all over my stomach, back and arms. I called my Dr. office who then informed me they wanted me to go to Instacare to get it evaluated. The Dr. from the Instacare tells me that I am either reacting to something or have something called PUPPP, pregnancy induced rash and hives, awesome! I have to take Claritin during the day and Benadryl at night to see if it will go away. I pray that I am just having a weird reacting to something because I don't know if I can handle this itchy swollen rashy body for 6 more months. I will keep my fingers crossed!
Now for a fun pregnancy questionnaire! :)
How far along? 16 weeks 5 days
Total weight gain/loss? I have actually lost about 6 pounds since getting pregnant. Weird, because I have not had one bit of morning sickness.

Maternity clothes? Not yet!
Stretch marks? My worst nightmare, I have one that has showed up on my hip. Hoping I can prevent others with stretch mark lotion.
Sleep? All the time!! I feel like I am always tired. I sleep an abnormal amount at night and then take a nap during the day. Oi, wish I had more energy!
Best moment last week? Seeing baby on the ultrasound and hearing his heartbeat. It's incredible to see how much he has grown since our last ultrasound at 9 weeks.
Movement? Not yet, I'm hoping soon.
Food cravings? Just fruit, that's a good thing right?
Gender? Boy!
Labor signs? Nope, thank heavens!
Belly button in/out? In.
What I miss: Energy, I feel so lazy all the time.
What I am looking forward to: I'm looking forward to feeling movement and getting a bump. It shows up sometimes at night, but hasn't really shown up yet.
Milestones: Out of the 1st trimester, no morning sickness, woo!
