We also decorated our Christmas tree this weekend. Taylor's parents and sister came out this weekend as well and we went to get our Christmas tree with them. (I just realized we didn't get any pictures with them.. next time guys!) After we got our tree they were on their way home and we came home and got to work.

I love the Christmas season! The month of December is going to be crazy busy with all of the hustle and bustle but I say bring it on! 

{turkey day}

We had a great first Thanksgiving as a married couple. My mom came down to spend Thanksgiving day with us, good thing too because she was a huge help in the cooking department. I always love when family comes down to spend time with us. 

I think the most memorable part of the day was when the pipes connected to the garbage disposal got clogged up. Taylor got all handyman and fixed the problem pretty quick. I held the bowl while he pulled all of the potato peels out of the pipe with a knife until a huge stream of water came pouring out. Good thing my handyman husband was there to save the day.

{halo effect}

As I walked outside tonight to take the dogs out, I looked up to the sky (I always like to look at the moon/starts on our nightly "potty" run) to see this....

I believe our conversation went a little something like this..
Me - "Uh.... babe, come here!"
Taylor - "What?"
Me - "Why is there a circle around the moon like that?"
Taylor - "Woah!!!! Is that extraterrestrial or something?"
Me - "I have no idea!! Let's take a picture!"

We then proceeded to try and take a picture with every single type of camera we own (3 cell phones and a digital camera) to no avail. Taylor then called Trevor to see if he could see the mysterious ring in Utah (he couldn't), seriously we were baffled by it! So.. being the weirdo I am I turned on my computer and googled "What would make a ring around the moon?" Turns out it is called the Halo Effect and is caused by the light of the moon shining off hectagonal ice crystals way way up in the atmosphere that then send the light back to down to Earth. ANYWAY.. I guess the whole reason I'm posting about this is because it truly was beautiful and strange to us. It's amazing all of the incredible things that can happen in space and in this world. Did any of you happen to see this?!
