We had a great 4th of July this year! I love celebrating all of Carston's first holidays, and this was his last big one. :( My baby boy is getting big!
Taylor had to work during the day, so Carston and I went to the parade with my mom, uncle and cousins. It was quite an event for this little man! He had his first piece of licorice, and man was it TASTY!
Completely zonked out in Uncle Matt's arms about half-way through the parade! Geeze Mom, why did you bring me to this thing right at my nap time?!
Then woke up to watch the parade and tell lots and lots of stories!
Just hanging out at the delicious barbecue at Uncle Matt's.. in his mini camp chair!
Finally, the mr. got off work and we got some delicious Wingers to eat! (gotta love pictures in the car, in the Wingers drive thru)
Then, my favorite part of the day! Fireworks! I was so excited for little man to see his first fireworks!
But, of course, right before they started.. someone started getting sleepy and was ready for bed! No way Mr. , you are staying awake!
Or not....
The Fourth is always one of my favorite holidays of the year, just such a fun time hanging out with family and celebrating this amazing country. So grateful to all the men and women (brother) that keep this country, the land of the free and home of the brave!
In other news,
Little man got a new big boy car seat! He was getting much too big for his old one and was not the happiest of campers when he had to get in it. He has enjoyed this one much more and doesn't scream when it's time to get in the car anymore. Only pain is for Mom and Dad who now have to switch it in and out of each other's cars!
Also, bought this new little walker for him. He loves to push it around and walk with it, except...
he is too much of a boy.. only a few days after having it, he decided he would push it against the table and try to CLIMB it! Oh boy, we are in trouble! (yep.. I'm one of those moms, pictures before I help)
